Excess soil management is becoming an increasingly important conversation across BC.
On November 24, Jamie Raymer and Clint Hunter from our team will join Crissy Anderson and Martin A. from Frontline Washing Systems for a presentation and panel discussion on Excess Soil Management Challenges and Solutions in BC at SWANA Day 2026. Hosted by the SWANA Pacific Chapter - BC & Yukon. The event will create a collaborative environment where a diverse array of waste professionals can gather, learn and network.

From coordinating incoming loads to operating equipment and managing recovered materials, our team works across multiple areas to keep operations moving efficiently.
What begins as contaminated or excess soil can contain resources with continued value.
Our soil washing process separates and recovers sand, stone and aggregate, creating opportunities for these materials to return to local construction projects.

It’s hard to believe a week has already passed since we welcomed industry professionals, partners, and colleagues to the Shxwhá Village Soil Management Facility operated by our team at Headlands Environmental. It was a memorable day in Chilliwack that focused on innovation, collaboration, and the future of soil management.
From live equipment demonstrations to facility tours, RECLAIM 2026 provided an opportunity to showcase North America’s first mobile soil washing facility in action and highlight the advancements in technology that are transforming contaminated soil into valuable resources.
A week later, we’re still reflecting on the conversations, connections, and shared enthusiasm for what’s ahead.
Thank you again to everyone who joined us, including those who travelled from across BC, across Canada, and around the world. A special thank you to our partners at Frontline Washing Systems for collaborating with us to bring this event to life.
